You will make Udon which is Japanese traditional noodle and Tamagoyaki which is the Japanese rolled omelette served for breakfast, put in a bento(lunch box) as a side dish, or used as a filling in sushi. Both are what you should try if you want to enjoy Japanese food culture!
It’s very fun to make Udon. We start from making your own Udon noodles from scratch – with a lot of mixing and kneading, using your feet! When the Udon dough gets ready, roll it by your hands and cut them with a special knife for cutting noodles. In addition, you will learn how to make Japanese style omelette, Tamagoyaki. It is very popular home food and easy to make! Of course you will taste your Udon and Tamagoyaki after cooking:)
You will get a recipe so you are able to cook these dishes back home. Your friends will be surprised by your skills you learned in Japan!
Hi, I’m Wakana.
I was born and grew up here in Tokyo. I’ve lived in Australia and Canada to study English.
I really like to meet new people, make friends and talk about different cultures. At the moment I offer Calligraphy, Cooking, Origami and Tsumami-zaiku workshops.
I am a licensed calligraphy instructor. I’ve been learning Japanese Calligraphy (“Shodo”) since I was 8 years old.
I also studied Nutrition and have worked as a dietitian. I love to eat, I live to eat!! If you like fish, I can take you to the best Japanese restaurant!
I want to introduce Japanese culture in a fun way. My main goal is to help visitors to Japan have a memorable time here:)
The workshop is held in central Tokyo, it’s about 10 minutes away from Akihabara or Ueno.
