What we will do
Kendo is a modern expression of a traditional Japanese swordsmanship and martial arts that uses bamboo swords as an abstraction the Japanese Katana and wears kendo protective armor.
Practice the time-honored arts of samurai swordsmanship during this exclusive, hands-on Kendo workshop.
Work one-on-one with an experienced Kendo instructor, with all equipment and armor included.
Learn practical skills and put your new moves to the test during a tournament-style combat game.
All experience levels are welcome, and participants receive complimentary drinks and a souvenir Kendo towel.

Born December 8th, 1987 in Tokyo
Graduated from Keio University's Faculty of Law.
Started Kendo at 5 years old at the Tokyo-budokan (located in Ota-ku, Tokyo), and continued kendo club activities throughout Keio junior high school and Keio high school, and during Keio University Athletic Association's Kendo association, as well as Nomura Securities' Kendo association.
Started Kendo Experience Tour 【SAMURAI TRIP】 services in 2016.
Major kendo accomplishments include:
・Second place in Kanagawa prefecture's high school kendo tournament
・Best 8 in Kanto students' new player tournament
・Best 16 in All-Japan Business Organization Kendo Tournament, etc.

What I will provide

What to bring
・Please follow the guide's instruction during the program.We shall not be responsible for any accident caused by disregard for the instructions.
・The Dojo(=Kendo studio) is sacred place for Samurai training, please do not make unnecessary noise and touch things without being instructed.
・The service provided by this our will only be conduct in English and Japanese only.
・For safety, please remove all earrings, pierces, watches and other accessory.
・For participants using glasses or spectacles. Please be inform due to difficulty of wearing head protector and possibility of damages to spectacles, it is not advisable to wear glass or spectacles during wearing the kendo head armor. Please bring contact lenses.
・Do not swing Shinai(=bamboo sword) aimless, play around with it and hit strongly without discretion. Be extra careful especially when partnering with ladies or children and when difference between physical sizes of both parties is apparent.
・There is fix number of protective equipment or Bogu(=Kendo armor) for each size. If the BOG does not fit properly and safely, please understand that we may have to adjust part of your original menu/plan.
・For safety, take enough water and rest, and remember do not overexert oneself.
・For safety, please keep all your personal belongings inside the locker or pass it to our staff members for safekeeping.
