Japanese Udon Cooking and Origami Paper Craft
What we will do
In my special Japanese cooking and culture class taken place in central Tokyo, you’ll learn how to make a traditional Udon noodle dish, and experience Japanese origami which is the art of paper folding. In Japanese, “ori” means folding and “gami” means paper.
We start from making your own Udon noodles from scratch – with a lot of mixing and kneading, using your feet!
While we let the Udon dough rest and be ready for cooking, you will try Japanese origami. You will learn how to create a beautiful origami, like a crane-shaped one with easy to follow instructions provided by this course. You can do it everywhere once you learn it. Let’s surprise your family or friends with your origami skill!
You will get a recipe so you are able to make Udon noodles back home!!
